Bars from PAMP Suisse, Credit Suisse, Valcambi, Royal Canadian Mint, Perth Mint, and other LBMA-accredited refineries trade at much tighter margins than scrap. We pay close to spot — the gold goes straight back into the bullion market, so there's no refinery processing cost to deduct.

Why people sell gold bullion here.
1g, 2.5g, 5g, 10g, 20g, 1oz, 50g, 100g, 10oz, 250g, 500g, kilo. Same per-gram math applies to every size — the spread between small and large bars in our buy price is smaller than what most retail dealers charge on the sell side.
Original PAMP CertiPAMP cards, Valcambi CombiBar wrappers, and Royal Canadian Mint assay certificates all confirm authenticity instantly. If you've lost the assay card, the bar itself is still authenticatable through weight, dimensions, serial number, and XRF testing.
Every bar gets weighed, dimensionally checked, magnetically tested, and (for unusual or older bars) XRF-tested. Counterfeit bars exist — typically tungsten-cored fakes with gold cladding — and they fail dimensional or XRF testing. Real bars get real offers.
Before you visit
Three things to know before you walk in.

At home · weight
Honestly, you don't need a fancy scale.A kitchen food scale is accurate to about ±1g, and that's enough to know what you're walking in with. We re-weigh to 0.01gon the counter once you're here — but the home estimate keeps your visit short and your expectations honest.

At home · stamps
We get asked all the time — where's the stamp?Try the clasp on a chain, inside the band of a ring, or the back of a pendant. You're hunting for small marks: 10K, 14K, 18K, 585, or 750. Can't find one? That's normal. Pick “Not sure” on the calculator and we'll test it together when you come in.

On the counter · the math
80% of melt is the honest top. Here's why.Gold passes through many handsbefore it becomes cash — refiners, dealers, market makers — and prices move throughout the day. That's why no honest counter pays 100% of melt on scrap. Anyone promising that is losing money or quietly shorting you somewhere you can't see.
But not every piece is scrap. Some rings get cleaned and re-homed. Some chains stay chains. Price is always negotiable on resaleable pieces— and we'll tell you which side your piece sits on. That's why we built this site: so you walk in informed, not lowballed across five shops.

FAQ
Sell gold bullion — common questions
Do you pay spot price for gold bars?
Close to spot for LBMA-accredited refineries (PAMP, Credit Suisse, Valcambi, RCM, Perth, Engelhard, Johnson Matthey). Generic bars or unknown refineries may price slightly below — we explain the spread on the counter. Larger bars (1oz+) typically price tighter than smaller bars.
What's the difference between .999 and .9999 fine gold?
Both are 'pure gold' colloquially. .999 is 99.9% (typically Swiss refineries) and .9999 is 99.99% (typically Canadian RCM and a few others). The price difference per gram is negligible — we pay essentially the same per-gram rate for both.
Do you buy combibars and fractional bars?
Yes — Valcambi CombiBars (snap-apart 1g pieces), Royal Canadian Mint Maplegrams, and similar fractional formats are all welcome. They typically trade at a slight premium over standard bars because of the convenience, but we pay close to spot regardless of format.
